What’s in a name? For me, everything. When I first launched Afterglow Paper Co. in 2020, it didn’t have a name. I had designed my own wedding invitations a few years earlier and was working on designing invites for friends.
I finally decided to dive head first into business and design for others. Afterglow was built on a deep love for beautiful design, meaningful details, and the art of storytelling through wedding invitations. The name was something of an aesthetic feeling that lived in my head–that golden glow after a really happy time that presides over a big feeling. I also love Taylor Swift, so her song Afterglow felt like a perfect way to incorporate my personality into the brand.
Over time, my vision evolved, my life changed, and I felt the pull toward something even more intentional—something that fully embodied the refined, cohesive approach I bring to wedding branding. Bringing my own intention and desire for connection to my business means fulfilling a need to present the ability to be flexible and grow, while preserving the authenticity of what I do. This change in name and branding has been on my mind for a couple years and I’m excited to share the new vision and aesthetic with you.
And so, Afterglow Paper Co. is now Ceremony.
A wedding isn’t just an event; it’s a celebration steeped in meaning, tradition, and love. It’s a moment that brings together the people who matter most, creating memories that last long after the last dance. Your wedding invitations are the first glimpse into that experience—the opening chapter of a day filled with beauty, joy, and intention.
The name Ceremony captures that sentiment. It speaks to the thoughtful nature of my work, where every detail is carefully considered to reflect your love story. It honors the feeling of quiet luxury—the effortless elegance of a celebration that feels deeply personal and entirely you. This is the feeling my clients yearn for, and what I’m here to deliver.
While the name has changed and the look is more modern, my commitment to exceptional design, quality craftsmanship, and a seamless client experience remains the same. In fact, this rebrand only strengthens those values. Ceremony is built on:
With this rebrand, I’m more inspired than ever to create wedding stationery that feels as meaningful as the day it represents. I can’t wait to continue working with couples who value artistry, quality, and storytelling through design.
If you’ve been following along as Afterglow Paper Co., I’m so grateful for your support—and I hope you’ll continue this journey with me as Ceremony.
